To me, being the physique connoisseur
means to not skip any part of the process.

I take a slower, mores sustainable approach to body transformation. And by pure default, the mind & spirit get involved.

My journey as the physique
connoisseur began
at the age of 12.

To avoid getting bullied I lifted weights to get bigger. I remember one summer in particular, my best friend let me use his weights to reach that goal.
Since then, building my body has become a hobby and a strength of mine. I joined the Marine Corps after High school. And in 1982, I began competing.

In the span of 15 years, I competed in 21 shows, won 4 titles, and became one of the top 5 national/ IFBB PRO qualifiers in the country.

I also became an “expert eater”, knowing exactly what to put in my body to either gain muscle or lose fat.
My expertise began getting noticed in the bodybuilding world and I got the privilege to begin training others! And after almost two decades of accomplishing many of my physical goals, I took a major break to address something even more important… my mental health. Significant moments throughout my life began banging at the door of my conscious mind, and I just couldn’t ignore them anymore. So I began taking a look inward.

I began exploring and studying healing modalities that allowed me to integrate my life experiences and understand the importance of being in the right mindset.

From Chinese Medicine to yoga & meditation, self-care became a key element & priority in my life. My expertise expanded with the understanding that rest and balance is vital to sustaining any kind of goal.

And the mind dominates EVERYTHING. It is at the core of transformation- in body building, relationships, lifestyle, and beyond!

We can try to push our bodies on a physical level as much as we can, but true transformation requires the mind AND spirit to also be in a healthy and present state.

After 21 years being away, I went back to competing in shows in 2016. By then, I was already in my 50s.

I now dedicate my life to building bodies.

Not in the stereotypical definition of bodybuilding, but in an integrative way that is much more sustainable than traditional bodybuilding or personal training.

My greatest passion is helping people transform. Whether you're looking to compete on stage, lose 50 lbs, or have a stronger & leaner body for longevity, I'm honored to facilitate, coach, and witness you on your journey of transformation.
